Stop Guessing, Stop “Trying”, and Start Putting Social Networking To WORK For Your Business

In the video here, I shared with an audience aspects about Facebook that will help them to connect with new prospects.  Some business owners are blazing ahead with social networking strategies, some are standing on the sidelines, and still others are working hard but are headed east looking for a sunset.  Which category do you fit in?  Have you thought that people on these networks are just wasting time?

Honestly, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook…who cares, right?  Maybe a few years ago you could get away with not caring.  After all mySpace tanked with 100 million users, why should anyone pay attention now?

The sad reality is that the biggest networks have now learned from the mySpace disaster.  No longer can a social networking just be about having fun, or pushing advertising at users, it must be different.  People want to communicate and they will do business when you put the right methods into action.

You might be thinking, great, I have to get a bunch of “friends” and “followers” to be successful.

Wrong!

Your success on the social networks isn’t judged by the number of people you have following you or “liking” your business.  Your success is judged at the volume of sales you make!  I would invite you to stop thinking about being friendly and start thinking how you can add value.

Each social network has different rules to play by.  Each one has their own unique features, but at the end of the day, when you add value you will get people chasing you.  When your business can pique interest through status updates, marketing messages, pictures, and videos you will be able to slice through the chatter and reach the customers who will spend money.

Does this require you to be on the computer for hours?  Hardly!  Many aspects of social networking can be automated.  You can get a flood of laser focused traffic in minutes; you can even get prospects to reach to you for help daily without logging on at all.  You can even connect your other online marketing (blog, website, youtube videos) to your social networks to create a massive reach that makes it irresistible for prospects not to reach out to you.
