When Excuses Start to Impact Your Income

In 2 minutes and 17 Seconds Discover How to Avoid Excuses and Earn the Income You Deserve

Far too often we get trapped in making excuses instead of taking action.  No one likes to point the finger at themselves when business isn’t going as planned.  The reality is that excuses actually PREVENT you from achieving the success you deserve.  While an excuse may make you feel good temporarily (let me be direct, that’s why people say them) they trap you in a cycle of frustration.

Discover 3 ways excuses could be sapping your strength, lowering your income, and HOW you can push your way through to success.

  1. Delaying Taking Action – Excuses end up preventing us from taking action.  When you say a statement like “when my kids back in school I will…” you are attempting to justify that parenting is preventing your success.  Look at the excuse from another angle, would you say to someone who is successful “you are a bad parent.”?  It’s unlikely you would say that.  Embrace the aspect that you can be successful AND you can be a great parent at the same time.  This often comes down to effective time blocking, outsourcing, and even getting help to allow you to accomplish both goals.
  2. Justifying Poor Performance – One of the most popular excuses these days is the one “it’s the economy”.  The reality is that in every economy (yes even the Great Depression) there are individuals and companies achieving massive success!  When you aren’t achieving the success you desire it can come down to any number of situations from bad marketing, poor time management, not changing fast enough, not looking for new opportunities, etc.  Don’t justify your poor performance with an excuse; look for a way to make a CHANGE in your business immediately.
  3. Falling Victim to Fear – Excuses trap us in FEAR.  Quite often an excuse is a result of an underlying Fear that you might have not yet admitted.  There isn’t anyone who is “fearless” (myself included).  Those who achieve success are the best at MANAGING their fear on a daily basis to achieve their goals and reach a higher purpose.  When you feel yourself uttering an excuse ask yourself what fear it could be related to.  Is it a fear of success?  Is it a fear of making a change?  Is it a fear of failure?  Dig deep on what fear it could be and watch as a breakthrough will occur in your business.

Avoiding excuses and managing your fear are just 2 tools on your way to a comprehensive small business marketing strategy.  Discover strategies you can put into action today with my FREE marketing manifesto.
